And just like that July is almost over. I’m sure I say this all the time but where has the time gone? The last couple of months have flown by so quickly that I honestly do not know where the time has gone. Anyway, let’s take a look at some of the games I played over the last month.
Super Mario Maker 2
I never got around to playing Super Mario Maker when it was first released on WiiU but I did have a little go on the Nintendo 3DS version although that was a very brief experience. When Super Mario Maker 2 was announced I was very excited about it and so far I’m glad I picked it up. I’ve mainly focused on playing through the story mode of the game so far and I don’t think I am too far off having the castle finished now. As for making my own levels I’ve had a quick look at it but haven’t made anything to exciting. It’s been more of just playing around with the different mechanics really and creating silly little test levels. Some of the levels that I’ve seen created by other players are just incredible and creative that I love playing them over and over again.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Prior to Fire Emblem: Three Houses I had only played Fire Emblem: Awakening as it had come pre-loaded on my Nintendo 3DS XL. I played it a little bit here and there but couldn’t really get into it and I never got around to completing the game. I did continue to follow the Fire Emblem franchise over the next few years but it wasn’t until Fire Emblem: Three Houses was revealed that I was really interested and wanted to give this next game a go.
I’ve only played Fire Emblem: Three Houses for a few hours so far but, I’m thoroughly enjoying what I’ve played. I always look forward to picking the game up again and getting stuck in again for a few hours. There is just something about this game that is different from other games I’ve played recently and I just can’t pinpoint what that is specifically but I know it’s a good thing.
Once I have completed Fire Emblem: Three Houses, I’m planning on revisiting some of the earlier Fire Emblem games which, is something that I’ve wanted to do for a little while and I’m honestly excited to do so.
Ahhh, the Nintendo Wii. It has been a while.
I finally got around to digging my Nintendo Wii out and hooking it up to my TV at long last. I’ve been wanting to get it set up for a while now so I can replay Super Mario Galaxy & Super Mario Galaxy 2 as well as The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. I also wanted to load up The Sims Bustin’ Out for Game Cube and also just expand my Game Cube games collection a bit over the next few months.
If you have any Nintendo Wii or Game Cube game recommendations let me know!
That’s it for July’s My Month In Gaming post. August is shaping up to be another great month for numerous reasons as well as there is even more amazing games being released. I’m really looking forward to finding out more about Astral Chain at the end of August and also Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Complete Edition as well.
