My Month In Gaming: August

It’s been one of those months where I’ve felt like I’ve been in a little bit of a rut. I feel as though I’ve played everything in my collection but I’m wanting something to tide me over until the September releases. That being said I have pretty much stuck with the same three games throughout the month.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses

I can’t say I’ve made much progress with Fire Emblem other than maybe six or seven hours. I’m still really enjoying the game and talking to a lot of my friends about it too. It’s been interesting to see who has gone with which house and which characters as well.

Overwatch

It’s felt like it has been a good few months since I last played Overwatch properly. I had been trying to play the odd match here and there on PC but my poor computer just wasn’t having it anymore. I decided to start playing on PS4 instead. I’d picked up Overwatch for about £15 a while ago and had played for a couple of hours but never really much more than that. After a rusty couple of matches, it felt like I had never stopped playing and despite there being a few new heroes to learn I was having fun playing which is something I had struggled with more recently with Overwatch.

There was one small thing that came to mind while playing and this was that I wish your profile could be linked to more than one platform. Not necessarily everything from your profile but somethings. I can one day hope that might happen though.

Final Fantasy XIV

Final Fantasy XIV is where I’ve spent a lot of my gaming time this month. I haven’t necessarily been doing the main scenario quests but I’ve been doing odd things here and there. I’ve been focusing on leveling up my Weaver and Fishing skills a bit and slowly working my way to becoming a level fifty Paladin.

And that is it for another month! September is looking to be another great month for video game releases with Gears of War 5, Borderland 3 and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening all being released over the next few weeks. I’m especially looking forward to diving into Borderlands 3 once it is released. It’s one of the many games I’m excited for too. I’m also hoping to try out Astral Chain as well once it becomes available on Boomerang Games to rent.
