Let’s Rewind: September

Hello!

It feels like it has been forever since I’ve sat down and given a bit of a blog update but it probably hasn’t been as long as I think it has been. Before I jump into the normally scheduled monthly blog post, I just wanted to run over a couple of things.

Firstly, I have put the Franchise Friday series on hold for now. While I still have plenty of ideas for the series, I’m not completely happy with it at the moment and want to work on it and I want it to have more of a structure to a point when I do decide to bring it back.

The second thing that I want to talk about is My Month In Gaming. In fact it will be getting a bit of a new look over the next few months but I’m happy to reveal that it will be moving to the new name of Let’s Rewind from today’s post. The content of the posts I’m aiming to keep the same for now but it may vary in the future.

Let’s Rewind: September

September has flown by for me and slowly we are now about to enter my favorite part of the year for many reasons! It’s still crazy that we are three-quarters of the way through the year now too!

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening

I’ve always wanted to play the original The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening for a long time now and as soon as I saw that it was being remastered for Nintendo Switch I knew I had to pick it up. The art style in this version of the game is adorable and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every moment I’ve spent playing so far. I’m hoping to play the original at some point as I feel it will be interesting to play both versions.

Untitled Goose Game

This game needs no introduction or explanation but Untitled Goose Game is so much fun and it has been everything I hoped it would be and more!

The Sims 4 Realm of Magic

An aspect of Magic has finally arrived in The Sims 4 and it’s been good fun turning my Sims into Spellcasters and causing chaos in the world of Glimmerbrook!

Cities Skylines

I’ve recently found myself wanting to play Cities Skylines again but my poor PC sadly finds it a struggle to run the game alongside all the expansions now. I decided to pick up the Nintendo Switch version. I found it a little difficult to start with the different controls on the console version but after a couple of hours, it wasn’t too bad. While I know I’m limited to the base game, After Dark and Snowfall expansions I’m still proud of my little City so far. I really would love to see one or two more expansions make their way to Nintendo Switch in the future but even with just the two, there are still plenty of options and possibilities when creating your City.

That’s everything for this month’s Let’s Rewind post. October is shaping up to be a great month with more video game releases, a birthday or two to celebrate and of course EGX is just a few weeks away now! I’ll be attending EGX on the Friday so if you see me or you are going let me know and I’ll try my best to say hi!

    1. Basically you are a Goose and you go around causing chaos in the town the game is set in. You have a list of tasks to complete for each area and they can be tasks like throw the rake in the lake, have a picnic with x items. It is good fun and there’s no set way to complete each task so there are numerous possibilities 🙂
